A Family heritage
The history of Tagliolo dates back to the 11th century, when the first look out towers were built on the hills of Ovada. The Castle later changed hands a number of times between the Duchy of Milan and the Republic of Genoa. Then in 1498 Tagliolo came into the possession of the Marquis Pinelli Gentile. “The Castle and the wines are my passions”: states Marquis Oberto Pinelli Gentile. His wife Maria Immacolata, his son Luca and his wife Angela at his side, they carry on an old family tradition with relentless energy. “The continuous search for improvement in quality and the transmission of genuine values are the beacons of our activity. These are the principles which create a strong continuity between past, present and future, binding the Castle of Tagliolo’s wine production with related activities and our family into a harmonious union.”
